meet the writer.

Hey there! I’m Alyssa, the face behind the blog *Intentional Unfolding*. 🩷 By day, I’m an elementary school teacher, but l’ve always had a passion for writing and all things wellness. After realizing how much my life drastically improved when I sat back and embraced the intentional unfolding of my journey, I knew I had to share what l’ve learned!✨💫

That’s why I started this blog--to create a space where women can find advice, inspiration, and resources on wellness, health, relationships, and more.💛

And, if you ever need freelance writing services, l’m your girl! Let’s grow together. 🌿

my story.

In my early 20s, I was dealing with a lot of issues—constant fatigue, stress, stomach aches, and random skin flare-ups that just didn’t seem to make sense. I felt like I was trying to keep up with everything, but my body was screaming for help. At first, I brushed it off, thinking it was just normal to feel like this in your 20s—juggling work, relationships, and all the other things life throws at you.

But then, there was a moment of realization that really hit me. I remember waking up one morning and thinking, "Is this how I want to keep living?" That’s when it clicked: I wasn’t treating my body the way it deserved to be treated. I had spent so much time focusing on external things and trying to do it all, that I completely neglected the most important thing—myself. That’s when I decided I needed to make a shift.

I started researching ways to heal myself naturally, everything from diet changes to managing stress levels, to setting boundaries with my time and energy. Slowly but surely, things began to improve. It wasn’t an overnight change, but I felt the difference. And that’s why I decided to start Intentional Unfolding—because I know firsthand what it’s like to struggle with your health in your 20s, and I also know how powerful it can be to take control of your well-being and embrace the intentional unfolding of your journey.

Through this blog, I’m sharing all the tips, tricks, and wellness hacks I’ve learned along the way. Whether it’s navigating a better diet, balancing relationships, or finding peace in the little things, I’m here to help other women figure out how to take care of themselves too. This is the only body we’ve got, and it’s time we start treating it that way.
